In this context, Choose Senegal is developing the Teranga Senegal Village, a cultural and community platform celebrating Senegal’s participation in the World Cup while engaging the Senegalese and African diaspora in Toronto.
Inspired by the Senegalese tradition of hospitality known as Teranga, the initiative aims to create a welcoming space where visitors can discover Senegalese culture through music, dance, gastronomy and artistic expressions.
The project also contributes to promoting Senegal as a cultural and tourism destination while strengthening cultural connections between Senegal and Canada.
First Activation in Toronto
On March 3, 2026, Choose Senegal animated the Senegal Pavilion during the official “100 Days to Go” celebration hosted by the City of Toronto.
This activation introduced the Teranga Senegal Village concept to the public and marked the beginning of a broader cultural engagement leading up to Senegal’s match in Toronto on June 26, 2026.
